What are the PlayStation controller buttons called?

Face buttons Cross (bottom), Circle (right), Square (left) and Triangle (top); L1 and R1 on the shoulders; triggers L2 and R2; the sticks, which click as L3 and R3; the d-pad; the touch pad; and Create and Options in the middle.

Are the controls the same with the DualShock 4 and the DualSense?

The button names and positions are the same; the DualSense renames Share to Create. A game's control scheme reads the same on both.

How do PlayStation buttons map to Xbox buttons?

Cross is A, Circle is B, Square is X, Triangle is Y; L1/R1 are LB/RB, L2/R2 are LT/RT, and L3/R3 are LS/RS.
