What are the Xbox controller buttons called?

Face buttons A (bottom), B (right), X (left) and Y (top); bumpers LB and RB; triggers LT and RT; the two sticks, which click as LS and RS; the d-pad; and the View and Menu buttons in the middle.

Are the controls the same on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S?

Yes. The Xbox Series controller keeps the Xbox One layout and button names, adding a Share button. A game's control scheme reads the same on both.

Do these controls work with an Xbox controller on PC?

Yes. Most PC games that support a controller use the Xbox button names and default to the same layout as on the console.
